Press Release from City of Londonderry Grand Orange Lodge - 06/06/2005
Senior Orangemen in Londonderry have outlined their plans for the Twelfth of July celebrations in the city at a special forum organised by the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce, and attended by various interested groups from right across the city.
A spokesman for the City of Londonderry Grand Orange Lodge said we have been working hard for several years to ensure a peaceful and harmonious Twelfth. We are extremely grateful to all those who have co-operated with us, especially the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce, for their hard work and look forward to celebrating our culture and tradition in Northern Ireland's second City.
This is the first time in 13 years that the City Grand Lodge has had the opportunity to host the Twelfth celebrations. We as citizens in a city rich with culture and diversity, look forward to a peaceful and dignified parade.
End.
